I never had a real surprise before, a surprise that almost made me teared, a surprise that is so heartwarming and precious. But it happened on my birthday this year, even more precious than the year before. Maybe it was a holiday that we could actually travel around and not trapped in school. On the train, I held my excitement and happiness, thinking about how my girls will be surprising me. Once I got off the train and stepped on the long escalator, I heard a familiar voice shouting at the edge, it was Joanne wishing me a happy birthday and jokingly commented that the indian man behind me was my boyfriend. There were the 3 of them standing there welcoming me with a smile. I was hoping that Valerie was there to celebrate my birthday but she didn't, a little disappointment at the start, but it still made me smiled.
Little did I know that something I randomly brought up months ago was still lingering in their mind, the fact that I have never been to the Singapore flyer before. The wish was fulfilled on that day as my expenses were paid by them! I felt special :') How can you not love people who consider things from your perspective, even the littlest details like i love to eat at food places with air conditioning. It made me smile.
The highlight of the celebration was probably when they were handing me my gift, they were so adorable whispering on how they should do it, a memory that I can remember when I was a child. Thank you for making my birthday so special and I felt loved. Thank you again for being my friends even though I had my insecurities, the reassurance really built up my confidence over the year. They made me smile.
Whether was it out of expectation or not, the heart is what I see, if you bother to, you will.

nonetheless, enjoy this small girl dancing, but I still don't want an asian baby.
